Blank Stare

So friend on facebook asked me the other day what my novel was about.  Ummmm....well....it's about....

I have absolutely no idea what it's about.  I should probably figure that out, huh?  I mean I wrote the thing, I should be able to tell what it's about, right?  The problem is, I think, is that I'm afraid of what people will say when they find out it's a love story against all odds.  Boring.  Guess I gotta think of a better hook to keep the love story haters from rolling their eyes.  Or not.  I could just ignore the haters and realize that not everyone likes the same style of writing.  Decisions, decisions.

LONG TIME NO SEE

So, as part of my grad class on digital writing, I vowed that once the class was over, I'd start blogging again even if no one read it because it helped to keep me honest with my writing and homeschooling.  Instead of keeping two blogs going (one on writing, one on homeschooling) I've chosen to only keep one going, as I am only one woman.  And to my professor, (if you are reading this) I kept my promise!

The update for today is that I'm working on my 4th draft of my novel.  I ordered a proof of it from Create Space and was greatly disappointed to realize how much more work I need to do on it before I can be done.  So I'm taking it one chapter at a time.  I'm on Chapter two.  I have 15 chapters currently.  This may take awhile.
